I am thinking of writing a thesis about Public Opinion on Capital Punishment based on socieconomic and race.





Here are my hypotheses testings:





White are more likely to support capital punishment than African American? ---Please pick one





Strongly agree, agree, no opinion, disagree, or strongly disagree





The rich are more likely to support capital punishment than the poor? --please pick on again.





Strongly agree, agree, no opinion, disagree, strongly disagree.





Please help answer the two questionaires above..

1. agree- it seems to me like the african americans would be more sympathetic because of slavery, maybe.


2. agree- the poor usually show more mercy, in my opinion and it is more likely for the rich to be a little spoiled and not care about the well being of others
Reply:Seeing the majority of criminals are poor and minorities, I would think a rich caucasion would be much more likely to support capital punishment.
Reply:I would strongly agree with both statements, for the same reasons as one of your other respondents. The majority of incarcerated people are poor and minority.
