What are the positive and negative of survey research?

survey research is considered qualitative.

surveys and other types of qualitative research are quick, inexpensive forms of research, and the often require a smaller sample size than larger quantitative studies, and using surveys is an easy way to collect data from a large geographical area

However, surveys ask for subjective data, that means it asks for people's views or opinions or experiences... it is difficult to analyze and interpret survery results sometimes, and there is room for error depending on how well the questions are written, and there are frequently high levels of bias. sometimes it is difficult to get a good response rate as well, and motivate people to fill them out and mail them back or turn them in
