Yes--althoughh it's hardly a yes/no kind of question.

Yes

I worked in polling for years...this is a push poll. While I agree with the pushing side regarding this issue, I've always felt that persuasion polling was slimey, disgusting and incredibly deceptive to those being polled. Put that in your statistics.

Today, I'm not so cynical, so I say no. As far as an employer goes, I would not want a high employee. They're more likely to try and be the 'cool guy' and give free stuff away, or dick off because they're tired, or take more breaks because they're hungry.

When I have bad days, I say yes to legalization. Why? Then it means the stupid people will smoke, making them even bigger losers than they already are and keeping them even farther from my little bubble of reality.

Teenagers today have some pretty horrid people. Some do whatever they want, even interfering with other people's days because it 'isn't illegal.' Making them high would just make them more dumb, and would tick me off into buying tranq darts or something.

Reply:It's hard to answer these as simple yes or no, since some of my answers are circumstantial and I feel they're already biased towards your opinion.

Reply:Your survey is flawed. For starters, there is the bias involve in your subject line. The people who will answer are going to have strong positions on the issue. Second, a person here could say they are a 45-year-old woman; but is actually a 25-year-old male.

You should do it the hard way and go to a public place with a clipboard and ask people directly if they will take a moment to answer your questions. Explain this is for a research project for class. Then in your paper clearly state where you polled.

As for your questions, you did some poor phrasing. Questions 6 and 7 are particularly flawed. Unemployment of marijuana smokers might go either way depending on the economy and any influx in the number of people who start smoking marijuana if it is legalized. Law enforcement could dedicate more time to catching "more violent criminals, " but their success rate depends on the number of violent crimes committed in the future and their abilities to capture the criminals.
Reply:It aint going to happen, but you are free to go get 100 opinions.

Anything we legalize, people will continue to do that kind of thing, and some people who now don't do it because it is illegal will also do it.

So yes, find things to legalize and there will be less people in prison for those things.

Legalize

* Terrorisim

* Rape

* Child Pornography

* Drunk Driving

* Murder

* you name it

but having less people in prision is not neccessarily a good goal. Curing people of their need to do bad things is much more important, and helping victims not be victims too.
