Survey...for my research paper?
1. 17

2. Female

3. For - It's discrimination not to

4. Yes - Two women, or two men are equally capable of raising a child together. And there is this idea that a same sex couple could cause the child to be gay eventually. SO WHAT - is being gay a problem?

Love is love regardless of gender so same sex marriage should be allowed. It does not undermine anyone else's marriage or make their marriage less special, it has nothing to do with anyone else's marriage...

Same sex parents who have the money, space, and are willing to love a child, should be allowed to adopt. Rather than forcing children to bounce through foster homes or being lost in the system, they should be allowed to go to good homes, regardless if it is same sex or not. Children deserve to be in a loving home...
Reply:im 18, female, against and no.

my main reason for the kid thing is that emotionally a child needs both a mother and a father figure. I am studying child psychology and children with same sex parents tend to grow up and be confused about thier own preferences and experience social awkwardness, it is asking for the child to be bullied in a main stream school and mental and verbal abuse is slightly higher in same sex couples then the traditional family meaning the childs self worth is on the line. no child should have to deal with those kinds of thoughts or be seperated from peers because of someone elses decisions

All for! I think its amazing that same sex couples could be given the opportunity to unite their relationship. I dunno why its taken so long really but more countries should realise the importance of peoples love for one another and their wish to officially bind these feelings regardless of sexuality or gender. I still find it really hard to believe that many churches or government offices still have problems marrying mixed race relations... let alone same sex couples. This is 2008 not 1503 people should know better by now!

4. Of course they should be able to adopt! People tend to just think about the gay or lesbian couples who are adopting and what their thoughts and feelings are on this matter. The real issue here is the child or person to be adopted, they need a home, a family and someone to love them. Does the sexuality of the adopters REALLY matter in this situation?

good luck with your work

3. Are you for or against Same sex marriage?-for, cos i thank everyone have the right to fall in love. marriage is about love, not just a gender thing.

4.Should they (same sex marriage parents) be allowed to adopt?-no, i believe a child should have male and female to look after them, its more natural.

3. for. i grew up in a lesbian houselhd and i new the pain my mum and her girlfriend had.

4.yes they should. i grew up with split parents and in a lesbian house hold. i know i would prefer to have two parents then one. i realy dont see how same sex parents can 'damage' the child. its very bizarre these concepts ppl have.

and i dont think ive ever met a child that complained about growing up in that situation.
